About RareJourney

Our Story

RareJourney was founded by parents navigating the rare disease journey themselves. We built the app we wished existed — a companion that helps families manage the everyday complexity of rare disease, without adding to the burden.

Our Mission

To empower families living with rare diseases by providing tools that:

  • Reduce the administrative burden of health management
  • Surface meaningful insights from health data
  • Connect families with shared experiences
  • Support informed conversations with healthcare teams

Current Focus

We're based in Australia and currently focused on supporting families affected by Myhre Syndrome, with plans to expand to other rare diseases.

Team & Values

We're a small team of parents, builders, and healthcare advocates who care deeply about this work. We believe:

  • Families deserve tools that work for them, not against them
  • Technology should reduce burden, not create it
  • Privacy and security are non-negotiable
  • Community and connection matter
